The
Instrument Man II
provides the expertise and coordination in using the surveying equipment to ensure that the work is laid out in the most effective and accurate way possible. Coordinates layout activities with the Party Chief, Superintendent, and/or Foreman for the installation of layout on a project. Has a good understanding of our SQP goals and collaborates with Project Leadership to identify improvement ideas. Contributes to effective project management through daily observations and communication. Supports the field in resolving any conflicts with tolerances and field constructability issues in the installation of the work. Contributes to safety on the project by perpetuating the IIF culture. will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. High School Diploma and 4 years of construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
