PSI of Washington (PIW) provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a 130 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. The Business Development Rep implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the senior management team while maximizing referral potentials from assigned accounts, and developing new business to achieve the goals and objectives of the business development systems. The Business Development Rep develops and maintains relationships with referral sources in the Northern Virginia area. Benefits

Education:
A Bachelor\'s Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Business development/sales experience with measurable business development results At least two (2) years experience working in a health care environment in a business development role Behavioral health, mental health, psychiatry, substance abuse experience preferred Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred Licensure:

Develop new accounts and markets in the employer EAP, Primary Care Physicians/Licensed Practitioners and managed care segments, and as directed by the Director of Business Develop a designated number of qualified business development with 60 contacts per week, which will achieve the overall business development goals and objectives. Develop account management list to maintain current account information, and update as needed. Contact all primary accounts through personal visits, telephone calls and letters/mailers on an ongoing basis, developing and encouraging a relationship of trust with all active accounts. Monitor referrals and admissions, and plan an appropriate strategy to maximize referral potential. Maintain current awareness of changes in the industry through self-education, peer education, and professional and community involvement for the betterment of this position and the facility. Maintain a competition informational file and contribute to the ongoing SWOT analysis. Participate actively on the business development team to increase productivity and reduce duplication of efforts (e.g. setting up joint calls with the CEO and other business development staff, overall participation in the marketing effort). Promote the team concept within the facility. Participate in the evaluation and analysis of facility statistics and provide recommendations to overall business planning strategies as appropriate. Participate in the continuous analysis of the changing health care environment and health care trends. Participate with internal facility marketing such as the possible creation of an internal facility newsletter, employee communications, and special event communications. Attend scheduled department meetings to provide timely reports on month-end reviews, client servicing schedules, and other reporting requirements. Attend in-house planning and development committee meetings, as requested. Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures. Attend all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled. Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality. Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives. Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information. Note:
