CLEAR is seeking a strategic, data-driven Senior Director, Member Growth to establish and drive a high-impact Member Growth function. You will own the end-to-end performance strategy across the Member lifecycle—from acquisition and activation through long-term retention. This role combines analytical rigor, strategic vision, and operational execution to unlock growth and deliver measurable impact across CLEAR’s Membership base.

What you'll do

Segment and assess key member cohorts using quantitative and qualitative insights; shape tailored strategies to improve conversion and retention across these segments

Serve as the strategic architect for CLEAR’s Member lifecycle, identifying performance opportunities and defining the roadmap to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention

Develop a hypothesis-driven testing agenda to pilot new growth and retention strategies, balancing speed and rigor

Lead cross-functional execution of strategic initiatives from design through implementation, ensuring accountability, agility, and scalability

Partner with our Member Insights team to dive into the data on the behavior of CLEAR’s Members, helping us understand how to improve performance with a data-driven approach

Architect reporting across Member segments to help leadership understand performance

Own investigating and diagnosing issues in day-to-day Member segment performance

Own Member Retention performance and strategic roadmap while building a team to support the performance of other key member cohorts

How you'll measure success

A clear, actionable, and data-informed strategic plan for Member growth and retention

Tangible wins delivered through high-impact pilots and scaled initiatives

Elevated understanding of Member performance across the organization

Deep cross-functional trust and influence as a strategic thought partner

What you're great at

10+ years of experience in Strategy, Growth, or Business Operations, ideally within consumer tech, travel, financial services, or subscription businesses

Prior experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or a Strategy & Ops function is highly preferred

Deep analytical fluency; able to structure complex problems, analyze data, and drive insight-based decision-making

Proven track record of turning strategy into execution with measurable business impact

Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete data, and iterating as needed

A collaborative, low-ego team leader who thrives in a mission-driven environment

The base salary range for this role is $200,000-$250,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
