Sr. Engineer - Cloud (Remote) at CrowdStrike. We’re building the next generation of cloud security and cloud detection engines to process billions of events across multi-cloud environments. You will architect and implement a cutting-edge detection system that supports threat detection, event orchestration, and advanced correlation in a distributed systems, data engineering, and security analytics context. What You'll Do
Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products Build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production at a global scale Collaborate with multiple teams to design and implement scalable detection capabilities Champion new technologies, raise the technical IQ of the team, and mentor other developers Continuously re-evaluate and improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance and stability Own your work in a high-trust environment Technology stack includes: Go (Golang), AWS/GCP/Azure/Kubernetes, Kafka, Git, Cassandra, Docker, Redis What You'll Need
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems Understanding of scalability and distributed systems concepts (sharding, partitioning, concurrency) Team player with strong collaboration skills Engineering best practices: testing, peer reviews, resilient architecture Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative environment Ability to meet commitments and deliver high-quality, unit-tested code with CI Bonus Points
Contributions to open source (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging) Experience with Go, Scala, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch Prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence field Experience in programming language design or compilers Interesting hobbies Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike
