Overview

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to join our team and lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients. You will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. You will apply AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose problems, and make informed trade-off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact. You will validate technical solutions against business goals, manage risks, and communicate effectively to technical and business audiences. As you progress, you’ll lead increasingly complex technical projects, shape cross-organizational strategies, and establish best practices in your domain. The AWS ProServe organization is a global team helping customers realize desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud.

We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide focused guidance through our global specialty practices.

Key responsibilities

Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in cloud computing 5+ years in project management of technical programs 5+ years of experience in consulting and working with enterprise customers 5+ years of experience with customer cloud transformation activities to ensure successful delivery of solutions Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications

AWS experience preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers About The Team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Base pay ranges from $138,200/year to $238,900/year depending on location and experience.
