Los Angeles County Area (field-based with travel throughout the state) Responsibilities
Sales Analysis & Performance Management
Track and analyze sales performance across accounts, categories, and sales reps. Identify menu gaps, category closure opportunities, and white space to maximize sell-through. Build regular reports on KPIs, rep productivity, and account health for leadership review.
Field & Account Engagement
Spend time in the field with sales reps to understand account dynamics and consumer trends. Support the team in building stronger retailer relationships through joint business planning. Ensure brand visibility and proper merchandising in dispensaries statewide.
Competitive & Market Insights
Monitor competitor launches, pricing, promotional tactics, and retail execution. Recommend adjustments to pricing, promotions, and positioning to stay competitive. Provide feedback to marketing and product development teams on industry trends.
Marketing & Growth Initiatives
Collaborate with marketing on in-store promotions, brand activations, and trade programs. Assist in the design and rollout of incentive programs to drive account and rep performance. Partner with sales leadership on new product launches, ensuring strong sell-in and sell-through.
Operational & Administrative Support
Review and approve credit memos and account adjustments. Support forecasting, sales goal tracking, and budget accountability. Assist with onboarding, training, and performance tracking of sales reps.
Compliance & Best Practices (California Cannabis Specific)
Ensure all sales activities adhere to California state and local cannabis regulations. Maintain knowledge of changing compliance requirements and their impact on sales. Support transparent communication between operations, compliance, and sales teams.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in sales, account management, and business analytics (CPG or cannabis strongly preferred). Strong understanding of the California cannabis market landscape. Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Self-starter with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable traveling across California (50%+ field time expected). What We Offer
