Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist MedStar Health is looking for a Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Schedule Every Friday 7:00pm-7:30am, Saturday 7:00pm-7:30am, and Wednesday 3:00pm-3:30am

Primary Duties

Perform full range of CT imaging procedures promptly on all patient types as specified by protocol. Perform venipuncture, injection of contrast media, and non-narcotic medication required for effective diagnostic imaging and scanning.

Adhere to policies and procedures for obtaining CT studies, including correct exam laterality, correct patient at the time requested, and correct CT protocol. Follow radiation safety practices for scanning patients.

Ensure timely completion of all exams through tracking, scanning, and other technical workflow related to Radiology Information System (RIS, Enterprise Radiology Solutions (ERS) and Enterprise Electronic Record (EMR)). Direct patient flow on assigned scanner. Maximize productivity while minimizing patient waiting times before, during, and after the procedure.

Coordinate and collaborate with Technical Aides to ensure efficient room turnover. Maintain a neat work area, wipe down assigned equipment between cases, and stock and maintain supplies at identified inventory levels in assigned lab. Adhere to all related safety requirements and report need for equipment repairs.

Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with Patient Financial Associates that register radiology exams to minimize delays and potential safety issues for the outpatient population. Provide basic information to patients and/or families about procedures to be performed and answer questions if asked.

Qualifications

Completed training in an approved Radiologic Technology program.

A.R.R.T. registered.

ARRT advanced certification in CT within 1 year.

Basic Life Support (BLS).

Prior CT experience preferred.

Salary Range Position has a hiring range of $35.68 - $64.71
