Overview

Assistant Director of Development is the lead development position for the College Foundation responsible for managing and executing annual giving campaigns, securing corporate and major gifts and other fundraising activities. This fundraising professional will work with college leaders, volunteers, the Board of Directors, and Foundation staff to identify, cultivate, and solicit donors in support of Edmonds College. Salary: $90,406 - $97,196 Location: Lynnwood, Washington Responsibilities

Establish philanthropic plans, goals, objectives, and fundraising strategies in consultation with the Executive Director. Develop and implement an effective annual giving program that includes direct mail and e-appeals, mobile giving and peer-to-peer campaigns. Coordinate and grow campus employee giving through the payroll deduction recurring gift program, campus engagement activities and giving appeals. Oversee the creation and implementation of the Foundation's storytelling, marketing, branding and communications plan to include newsletters, collateral material, web content, social media and impact reports. Work with the Board to support and guide a development committee to work with you to identify, cultivate, and solicit potential donors to the college foundation. Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors and manage a portfolio of major donor prospects from identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship that target audiences. Maintain relationships with current donors and Board members Make direct, face-to-face solicitations, and assist the Board, foundation volunteer leaders, and other staff with their solicitations. Participate in and assist with the planning of fundraising events. Create donor strategies to identify, solicit, and steward for the annual Leadership Campaign. Maintain familiarity with the database and wealth screening management tools. Oversee the donor stewardship process and activities, including gift acknowledgment and database management Expand the corporate partnership program that includes soliciting sponsorships from local businesses and the community. Assist with identifying public and private foundation funding opportunities to align with fundraising goals and college needs. Help expand the range of planned giving opportunities, while identifying and cultivating prospects. This is an exempt position that reports to the Foundation Executive Director.
