We hire based on our core values, which represent what we look for in every team member: Dependable Take Initiative Get it Done Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for complete operational, logistical and financial management of projects while collaborating with our vendors and suppliers to provide a differentiated solution to complex architectural designs from project inception to project completion. The Project Manager is the direct liaison throughout the lifecycle of the project working with and guiding customers/clients, production, external vendors, external projects managers, architects and internal department staff. The Project Manager is responsible for exceeding customer expectations in delivering PURE + FREEFORM wall and ceiling panels on time and on budget. This position resides in the Twin Cities; and offers a benefits package including competitive base salary, bonus, 401(k) with 4% match, medical/dental benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, etc. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Key Responsibilities Directly manage all aspects of assigned projects from project inception to project closeout. Define project scope, deliverables, budget, performance requirements and roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners. Develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts, and quality control provisions; perform project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate. Coordinate with outside subcontractors and in-house team to ensure that deadlines are met in accordance with the project schedule and with the quality that is expected. Provide technical detailing support to architects, engineers and contractors. Produce contracts, purchase orders and change orders for assigned projects, managing all financials associated with a given project. Responsible for complex program management tasks and support in the development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting, resolving problems as they arise. Engage directly with key stakeholders (architects, designers, general contractors, fabricators, and installers), become a trusted resource while developing superior relationships. Complete project specific material take-offs, compose project specific submittals, manage project specific shop drawings and participate in coordination meetings. Review and be responsible for project shop drawings to ensure that they accurately portray PURE + FREEFORMS’s scope of work before they are released to the customer for approval. Create and/or review detailed customized design shop drawings in AutoCAD / CAD to produce detailed customized design drawings and specifications. Updating and optimizing AutoCAD details, templates, and base files and optimizing workflow in AutoCAD. Collaborate cross-functionally, particularly with the Business Development team, serving as a technical expert and sharing knowledge to educate and support broader team success. Proactively contribute to achieving the Company’s financial goals by driving departmental impact and aligning project execution with key performance metrics. Travel to project jobsites to attend meetings or when necessary for a given project. Other ad hoc projects, to further develop Pure + FreeForm’s position in the market, as required. Required Skills Background and experience in architecture, engineering, or construction is required Background and experience in exterior cladding and/or other building products is required. Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural plans and specifications, as well as provide detailed take-offs and estimates that incorporate different building envelope / interior paneling solutions, accurately and efficiently. Resolve conflicts and mitigate risk by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies. Must demonstrate the aptitude to understand and manage project shop / fabrication drawings. Must exhibit strong project management, organizational and time-management skills. Excellent listening, reading, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group - developers, product owners, and subject matter experts. Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Highly motivated self-starter and team player, possessing strong collaboration skills. An ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints. Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and quality standards. Able to meet specific deadlines while balancing multiple projects at once. Experience and Education BA/BS or Technical School degree preferred in Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field Construction sheet metal management experience is ideal, with knowledge of metal wall and ceiling panel materials, techniques and requirements Technical Project Manager experience is preferred Drafting experience working in the architectural metal industry is strongly preferred Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
