We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Construction to provide executive leadership and operational oversight of our homebuilding, warranty, and property management functions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving construction starts and cycle times, ensuring the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction, and aligning construction operations with the company’s overall business plan. Our employees are not just an asset to Neal Communities and its customers; they are essential to the success of our business Outstanding Benefits - Health Care - Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Coverage Employer Paid Life Insurance Supplemental Insurance Long & Short-Term Disability Insurance 401(K) with Company Matching Contributions PTO & Paid Holidays Employer Paid ID Theft Protection Employee Home Purchase Discount Program Tuition Reimbursement Program Employee Wellness Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Service Awards WHAT YOU'LL DO: Meet the Company construction, customer service, property management goals, and overall business plan Manage Area Construction Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and property management firm representatives Drive starts and construction cycle times for assigned communities in order to achieve the Company's business goals Conceive and implement all construction and warranty training programs Coordinate all construction and operating efforts with the President as needed Support and assist Construction Managers in achieving construction goals and objectives for their community Ensure construction managers employ good business practices that are consistent with the company's brand, mission, vision, and culture Monitor the follow-through of construction staff and regularly review active prospects Develop, monitor, and maintain Build Pro for each assigned community Train and coach Construction Managers in construction skills on an ongoing basis Prepare construction staff compensation packages and process them accordingly Research, collect, and analyze competitors’ construction practices regularly and as directed by the President Ensure all construction and warranty materials are current, accurate, and available in each community Lead and facilitate weekly construction meetings Develop a strategic business plan for the division with the President Prepare an annual operating budget for the division Ensure implementation of the business plan regarding permitting, construction starts, construction cycle time, profits, construction quality, customer satisfaction, continuity, and growth Drive quality and customer satisfaction scores to the highest levels Be a key executive supporting future acquisitions identification and due diligence Project manage future communities as requested by the President Directly responsible for division building operations, collaborating on purchasing negotiations, and property management services The division will receive initial support for the accounting, finance, and purchasing systems support Develop an efficient organizational construction, warranty, and property management structure for the division Recruit, hire, and train as needed Set monthly/quarterly goals and evaluate the performance of all division reporting staff Ensure proper goal setting and performance evaluation of all employees Set and approve compensation plans with the assistance of the VPHR Maintain the division in a sound financial condition with the assistance of the President Establish quality relationships with other home builders, contractors, and industry consultants Represent the firm in local civic, political, and industry activities and generate positive public relations opportunities Other duties as assigned, or trained for, or as qualified to do The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. WHAT YOU BRING: Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Business, or another related field 10+ years of experience in a similar management-level position with a high-volume homebuilder 8+ years of direct experience in progressively responsible positions with a production homebuilder Computer literacy - Previous Build Pro experience recommended Formal OSHA training is preferred Strong relationship, self-organization, planning, and problem-solving skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
