Role Purpose This position is responsible for providing finance support to FR/Drop Product Line Managers and be a proactive business partner by advising and making recommendations to drive the strategic vision and financial execution of Business objectives. Strong understanding of financial statements, cost accounting and financial modelling are a must. The person will be an active member of a cross-functional, decision making, and strategy focused, business team.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively provide financial expertise and decision support to business leaders by collaborating with Plant and Commercial leadership and gain an in-depth understanding of FR/Drop operations, strategy, and goals

Owns the P&L for FR/Drop. Compile FR/Drop commercial and manufacturing forecasts to develop overall P&L statements, ensuring that appropriate capacity is in place for short- and long-term forecasts

Provide insights into FR/Drop profitability by product, region, and customer, and flag areas where business performance does not meet expectations

Design financial and analytical programs, processes, and procedures across FR/Drop (e.g., forecasting, budgeting, reporting) that enable improved cycle time and better decision-making

Work cross-functionally to develop meaningful, consistent periodic reporting within existing system constraints on a timely basis

Ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of forecasts and results to PLMs and division leadership. Identify and monitor budget and forecast variances, providing business leadership with insights and recommendations for addressing discrepancies

Drive ad hoc process and reporting improvements and manage the overall budgeting process, including reconciliation and a detailed understanding of financial statements within Khalix and other systems

Support regional strategy teams with capacity planning, business restructuring, and other initiatives. Owns financials for the capacity expansion programs

Participate in Extended Product Line Teams to develop Scorecards and participate in Quarterly/1 Year/5 year product Line plans

Experiences/Education - Required

Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical degree

MBA or CPA a plus

Manufacturing experience (within or outside of Corning)

5-7 years finance/leadership experience in progressive roles; prior FP&A, PLM or manufacturing/operations finance experience a plus

Experience in driving continuous improvement goals

Strong analytical, financial & mathematical skills

Extensive experience building and maintaining business partnerships; continues to develop and leverage key relationships in order to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders

Strong Microsoft Office computer skills (excellence in using excel is expected)

Experience setting strategy for process improvement initiatives and developing procedures for implementation

Experience presenting to and engaging business leadership, facilitating critical decision-making

Ability to be creative in providing financial solutions to the business leaders

Ability to question decisions and provide alternate recommendations

Experiences/Education - Desired

Deep understanding of markets, regions, products, personnel and strategy

Strong knowledge of ERP and financial reporting, specifically SAP, Power BI

Ability to work in a matrix environment as well as independently

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work proactively and independently in a fast-changing environment

Awareness of and sensitivity to diverse cultural perspectives in a global business environment

The range for this position is $132,649.00 - $182,393.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
