Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering design primarily for HVAC and plumbing systems. Projects will include commercial, governmental, and industrial designs as well as supporting the Construction Division with various construction projects.

This candidate must be able to work independently and be fully competent in performing all conventional aspects of Mechanical Engineering and design for municipal and commercial applications. Projects will include commercial, governmental, and industrial designs as well as supporting the Construction Division during construction projects.

Job Responsibilities: Know and understand the specific scope of work, design criteria, and project standards Work directly with designers to complete work tasks related to the scope of work Ensure all engineering tasks are on budget and on schedule Participate in meetings with clients, vendors, and other engineers Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal abilities Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates Evaluate technical bids and drawings for compliance Communicate with construction personnel concerning constructability issues related to field conditions Familiarity with mechanical and plumbing codes and ASHRAE Experience with the HAP program a plus Knowledge of other industrial codes (ASME, etc.) a plus Ability to work independently and collaboratively Excellent Problem-solving skills Able to handle multiple projects Able to Multitask Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications: Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (P.E. preferred)
