About the Position
A Federally Qualified Health Center in northern Louisiana is seeking a General Dentist to join their team due to continued growth. Both experienced dentists and new graduates will be considered. The position is based in Ruston, LA—a vibrant college town, home to Louisiana Tech University, with a mix of small-town charm and easy access to larger metro areas like Shreveport and Monroe. Ruston is known for its friendly community, outdoor recreation, and annual Peach Festival.
Clinic Details: Location: Ruston, LA Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (no Saturdays) Team Structure: Work alongside 1 Dentist, 3–4 Assistants, and 1–2 Hygienists Facility: 7 Operatories Patient Load: ~250 patients/month Payor Mix: ~65% Medicaid, 8% Medicare, 20% Private Insurance, 8% Sliding Fee Scale
In addition to this Ruston site, the organization also partners with other regional health centers in Louisiana—including one in a major city that serves a large and diverse patient population, offering robust primary care, dental, and behavioral health services.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
Historically $165K–$180K depending on experience Medical/Dental:
