Job Description
Part time- 1 day/week. We are looking for a dedicated Receptionist to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone who is detail oriented, organized, and has exceptional communication skills. The role requires a strong ability to manage front desk operations and ensure a welcoming environment for clients and visitors.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring a detail oriented and friendly reception area.
• Manage incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, directing them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
• Maintain an organized and efficient switchboard for handling calls across multiple lines.
• Provide support in answering inbound calls promptly and courteously.
• Assist with part-time receptionist duties as needed, including covering for other team members during their time off.
• Coordinate front desk activities such as scheduling appointments and managing visitor logs.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and representative of the company’s brand.
• Handle administrative tasks such as data entry and correspondence using Microsoft Office tools.
• Collaborate with other departments to support smooth daily operations.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on company processes and protocols.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in receptionist or similar front desk roles.• Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and switchboards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Flexibility to cover additional days when needed.
• Previous experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
