Family Medicine Physician (Assistant Professor)
Department Overview
OHSU Family Medicine is part of the School of Medicine and focuses on comprehensive family health care. Our clinics serve more than 120,000 patients annually and are ranked #1 among U.S. News & World Report medical school family medicine departments in 2019‑2021.
Function/Duties of Position
Provide full-spectrum family medicine care, including obstetrical care strongly preferred.
Work collaboratively with full‑time and part‑time faculty to maintain an active practice.
Develop the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation with strong professional and business success.
Participate in continuing education, faculty development, scholarship, and patient care documentation using the electronic health record.
Be available for teaching activities including resident and student precepting, didactics, and more.
May include inpatient care with shared call duties and expanded access hours in the clinic, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation includes a university base academic salary and a clinical incentive system based on productivity and personal initiative.
Required Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible family medicine physician licensed in Oregon.
M.D. or D.O. with ACGME‑accredited family medicine residency training.
Certified to prescribe all classes of DEA‑approved medications.
Approved staff privileges at OHSU University Hospital, OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center Hospital, and other community hospitals.
Strongly preferred (not required): obstetrical and maternity training, surgical obstetrics, and related procedures.
Multilingual (not required).
