What You’ll Be Doing Aerospace University is seeking a tech savvy individual contributor to play an integral role in creation and delivery of scalable training solutions that inspire our geographically dispersed workforce of scientists, engineers, and support staff.
With a background in training development, learning technology, or the science of space systems, the
Training Specialist II/III
will be responsible for collaborating with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop and deploy learning programs covering topics.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA.
Working collaboratively with program leads, subject matter experts (SMEs), facilitators, and Instructional Designers to create face-to-face or virtual instructor-led sessions using adult learning principles to enhance the learning experience.
Assisting in the design, development, delivery, and deployment of multimedia and web-based training utilizing a variety of methods and authoring tools.
Preparing instructors and hosting engaging in-person and virtual learning.
Coordinating internal L&D projects and participating in cross functional teams to enhance the delivery of HR services to the corporation.
What You Need to Be Successful Minimum Requirements for Training Specialist II:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field such as Communication, Education, Business, or field related to Aerospace or Space Sciences.
Two or more years of experience in the field of learning to include learning design, learning operations, classroom facilitation, or primary/secondary/post-secondary education environment.
Ability to translate concepts into training products.
Multimedia and eLearning development skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience setting up and hosting virtual training using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or an equivalent technology.
Ability to collaborate across the Aerospace University team with enthusiasm for our work and respect for our co-workers.
Willing to travel domestically 1-2 times per year.
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Training Specialist III include:
Four or more years of experience in the field of learning to include learning design, learning operations, classroom facilitation, or primary/secondary/post-secondary education environment.
How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Master’s degree or higher in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field such as Communication, Education, Business, or field related to Aerospace or Space Sciences.
Experience using Articulate, Vyond, Python, Adobe, or Camtasia to develop eLearning.
Experience designing learning for or supporting delivery of virtual learning via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other virtual platforms.
Experience using a Learning Management System to manage processes related to the delivery of Instructor-Led Training.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
