The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Principal Specialist Solution Architect to join us in the United States, ideally in the New York area. The Principal Specialist Solution Architect is responsible for working independently to set mid-term strategic objectives aligned with company business goals. Serving as an expert regional resource, this role provides technical and business leadership, mentors colleagues, and resolves highly complex challenges with innovative solutions that drive critical business outcomes. What you will do and how you will work with customers and teams to invest in the right Red Hat solutions, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Responsibilities

Set mid-term objectives to guide strategic customer engagements. Lead major proofs of concept, workshops, and customer demonstrations. Serve as a subject matter expert within the region, advising on Red Hat solutions. Mentor colleagues within the discipline to enhance technical and strategic capabilities. Drive collaboration across business units, engineering, and professional services. Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to achieve sales quotas. Meet revenue goals, in addition to deployment and service objectives while maintaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers. Lead critical customer presentations/sessions/demos around business problems, Red Hat solutions, business value, competitive positioning, and product capabilities and roadmaps. Prepare detailed specifications of offerings and implement customer installation plans. Design solutions based on customer requirements and create and deliver solid business cases. Design value-driven architectures and present the application and ROI of our technologies. Deliver compelling recommendations and quality solutions that result in the closing of new sales. Use technical solutions expertise and industry best practices to deliver timely results to customers. Share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from successes and mistakes. Focus on customer success activities. What you will bring

5+ years of experience as a sales engineer, consultant, IT architect, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer or an equivalent role within enterprise accounts. Ability to interpret customers’ business and technical needs. Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures. Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills. Record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations. Advanced knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platform offerings like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Experience with Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet, Chef, or other related technologies. Solid knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure and management solutions (e.g., KVM, VMware vSphere, AWS, GCP, Azure, or Red Hat OpenStack Platform). Knowledge of technologies in DevOps including security, CI/CD tooling. Understanding of Linux container technologies including Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Willingness to travel up to 40%. Expertise in configuring and optimizing AI/ML serving frameworks for GPU-accelerated infrastructure, and GPU resource management within Kubernetes. Experience with hardware accelerators and their integration into Kubernetes clusters for AI/ML workloads. Proficiency with agentic frameworks for Advanced AI development and related tools (e.g., LlamaIndex, LangChain, LangSmith, LangGraph). The comprehensive experience with agentic frameworks supports designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated AI applications, including model-as-a-service (MaaS) and GPU-as-a-Service (GaaS) on Kubernetes. Model-as-a-Service (MaaS): design and implement Kubernetes services to expose trained models as scalable, API-driven endpoints, including deployment strategies, ingress, and service mesh for secure communication. GPU-as-a-Service (GaaS): develop and manage Kubernetes resources for on-demand GPU access, including GPU operators and dynamic provisioning of pods. Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $226,360.00 - $373,460.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on location, experience, skills, market value, and internal pay equity. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For Remote-US locations, the salary range may differ by location but will be commensurate with job duties and experience. About Red Hat
