Salary Range: $105,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

Responsibilities

Oversee the

Purchasing Team

to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and components for PCBA manufacturing.

Ensure timely ordering of materials, supplies, and equipment from approved suppliers while meeting customer requirements, including approved part numbers, flow-down requirements, and other specifications.

Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize material needs based on production schedules, customer orders, and forecasted demand.

Develop and implement strategies for material cost control and inventory management, ensuring optimal material availability without excessive stock.

Warehouse & Inventory Management :

Oversee the

Warehouse Team , ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to meet production demands.

Ensure proper inventory control systems are in place to monitor stock levels, manage shelf life of materials, and minimize material wastage or obsolescence.

Work closely with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure timely and accurate material kitting for production lines.

Implement and maintain systems for tracking material movements and minimizing inventory discrepancies.

Evaluate, select, and establish strategic relationships with suppliers to meet production needs and cost goals.

Negotiate supplier contracts, including payment terms, delivery schedules, and pricing to ensure favorable conditions for the company.

Monitor supplier performance, addressing any quality, delivery, or performance issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Proactively communicate with suppliers to prevent or mitigate material shortages, ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing production delays.

Lead, mentor, and develop the

Purchasing

and

Warehouse Teams , fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Provide training and support to team members to ensure they stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and technologies.

Coordinate performance evaluations and career development plans for team members, promoting professional growth within the company.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure materials meet production specifications and quality standards.

Lead efforts to drive on-time kit deliveries, purchase price variance (PPV) goals, and resolve any production bottlenecks related to material shortages or logistical issues.

Monitor and report on key supply chain and material management metrics, including inventory turns, stock levels, and supplier on-time performance.

Develop and implement processes for continuous improvement in material flow, cost reduction, and supply chain efficiency.

Implement corrective action plans with suppliers when performance issues arise, working collaboratively to resolve challenges and ensure ongoing compliance with company requirements.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) are a plus.

Experience :

Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain roles within an electronics manufacturing environment.

At least 2 years of leadership experience overseeing Purchasing and Warehouse Teams in an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) setting.

Proven track record of managing procurement activities for electronic components and PCBs, including vendor negotiations, material planning, and inventory control.

Strong knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes and materials.

In-depth understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Proficiency in inventory management and warehouse best practices.

Tools/Software used e.g., ERP system, Excel, inventory management systems.

Strong knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes and materials.

In-depth understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Proficiency in inventory management and warehouse best practices.

Tools/Software used e.g., ERP system, Excel, inventory management systems.
