Network Planning Technology Lead – US
Infosys is seeking a Network Planning Technology Lead. The role requires close partnership and collaboration with teams involved in telecom service delivery lifecycle and subject matter experts. The candidate will maintain best practices, coordinate resources recognizing deadlines and quality of work requirements to complete complex tasks and activities. The candidate will also support knowledge transfer to provide value‑adding consulting solutions that enable clients to meet changing global needs.
Location & Travel Work Location: Texas, USA. Must be within commuting distance of Richardson TX or willing to relocate. The position may require travel in the US.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of experience in IT/Telecom Operations and maintenance like Order Entry, Design, Offnet or Transport/IP.
At least 2 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting on layer 1 and layer 2 of OSI model (Ethernet/SONET 1G, 10G, 100G, STM1-1/OC3, STM-4/OC12, STM-16/OC‑48, E1/T1).
Setup/Drive weekly/monthly review calls with management for reviewing metrics, progress, and challenges.
Hands‑on experience on DWDM and OTN equipment’s platform – like Adva R7, Ciena NGO, Huawei 6800 DWDM. End to end configuring / provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting on EMS/ NMA.
Experience with project management from planning, implementation, acceptance, and traffic utilization for customer and internal circuits on SONET and DWDM system.
Having knowledge of TIRKS system to support Planning and Provisioning. This would need understanding of HECIG code, transport equipment’s, cable path, fiber path, cross connect into LIMS design.
High Level and Low‑level Design.
Ensure quality assurance on all disconnect procedures being performed correctly to mitigate human error outages and maintain overall disconnect cost optimization.
Provisioning and Troubleshooting on multi‑vendor environment.
Collaborate, support, and execute various disconnect, optimization projects to ensure timely completion for site decoms for clients.
Perform RCA for missed metrics and implement improvement plan.
Propose/Drive operational automation initiatives for optimizing Delivery cycle.
Provide guidance and feedback to direct team on performance, strategic directives, and goals.
Responsible for analyzing team KPIs, production/SLA, overall efficiency, and quality of work.
Own and maintain client(s) technical documentation.
Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
Must be able to work in 24x7 production support environment.
Participate in an on‑call rotation for assigning/tracking work outside of normal business hours.
