RMC is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our integrated technical team. This role requires hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure architecture, automation, and operations across multi-cloud environments. This position is 100% on-site in Indian Head, MD. Key Responsibilities Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructures on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platforms (GCP). Develop and automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with DevOps methodologies and tooling. Configure and optimize cloud-native applications and services, including container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Monitor cloud resources and applications using tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack for logging and alerting. Lead hybrid cloud deployments integrating on-premises VMware clusters with public cloud environments, optimizing network connectivity and security. Serve as a subject matter expert on hybrid cloud architecture, assisting in design and troubleshooting for networking (AWS VPC, DirectConnect, Transit Gateway; Azure VNet, ExpressRoute; GCP VPC, Interconnect). Drive operational excellence by applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to automate system management and improve system reliability. Manage database deployments in cloud environments including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL, and platform-specific managed DB services (Azure SQL, AWS DynamoDB, Google AlloyDB). Requirements Minimum 7–10 years’ progressive experience in cloud infrastructure and systems administration across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Deep expertise implementing IaC frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack). Proven experience in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) including cluster design, deployment, and lifecycle management. In-depth knowledge of hybrid cloud networking technologies and secure connectivity options across multi-cloud environments. Strong background in DevOps practices and tooling for hybrid cloud environments. Proficient in monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure high availability and performance. Security and Certification Requirements Interim DoD Secret clearance required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance. DoD 8570.01M IAT Level III certification with Continuing Education (CE) such as CompTIA CASP+ CE or CISSP. Relevant cloud certifications required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent. Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $130,000 to $160,000 annually. #LI-MB1
