is seeking a

Social Media Basketball Coordinator

to ideate, produce, maintain, and post team-related content for the

Miami HEAT

and other auxiliary properties across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and additional social media platforms. The role is responsible for telling the Miami HEAT on‑court story within our brand strategy and voice.

Responsibilities

Strategize, ideate, plan, produce, and post content covering Miami HEAT basketball and other auxiliary accounts via social media platforms such as Instagram, X, TikTok, and Facebook.

Provide on‑site coverage for Miami HEAT basketball games (both home and away) and team events, producing content within brand strategy for social media platforms.

Collaborate with the social media department to conceptualize and generate content for Miami HEAT social media accounts, including the Miami HEAT Store, Kaseya Center, Jr. HEAT, and Miami HEAT Dancers.

Monitor daily social media trends, fan conversations, and engagement focused around the Miami HEAT, NBA, and pop‑culture audiences.

Leverage extensive Miami HEAT knowledge (current and historical) to ideate and create social media content within brand strategy.

Collaborate with Content and Creative Services departments to develop content and ensure the social media presence aligns with the Miami HEAT brand, voice, and strategy.

Activate branded social media content deliverables and campaigns.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sr. Social Media Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.

Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience with a publisher, brand, or professional/college sports team.

Significant in‑depth knowledge and understanding of Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms.

Deep knowledge of the game of basketball, Miami HEAT team news (both current and historical), and NBA storylines.

Strong knowledge of pop culture, current events, and social media/internet culture.

Strong writing, creative, and analytical skills.

Social media creativity and adaptability to current events.

Desire to work in a fast‑paced environment with availability for travel, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Self‑starter with strong attention to detail, organizational, collaborative, relational, and communication skills.

Outstanding communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills.

Photography and Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus.

Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required.
