Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Los Angeles, California. Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across age groups. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and caregivers to improve outcomes. Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate disorders. Design personalized therapy programs based on findings and goals. Maintain documentation in electronic medical records and ensure progress notes. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies, exercises, and safe swallowing practices; provide counseling as needed. Coordinate care with the healthcare team and adhere to safety and infection control standards. Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications
Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in accordance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA / ARC). Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. Speech Language Pathology experience; new grads welcome to apply. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and PC skills. Physical abilities to remain stationary, move equipment, and assist as needed. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel. Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment use. Mental requirements to work under deadlines and supervision, with flexibility for irregular schedules. Sensory acuity for effective communication. Benefits
