Location Description Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, by Curio is a stunning waterfront destination located in Southwest Florida, offering the perfect blend of luxury and leisure. With 785 guest rooms and more than 60,000 square feet of event and meeting space, the resort is designed to accommodate both upscale leisure getaways and dynamic business gatherings. Guests can indulge in an impressive collection of 18 food and beverage outlets, from fine dining to casual coastal fare, showcasing flavors from around the world. Overview Aileron Golf Club at Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a driven and motivated sales professional with a background in private golf clubs to become the next Golf Membership Director and sell private golf memberships for the club and resort.
The Golf Membership Director is responsible for the sale of memberships to prospective members, the provision of exceptional service to our current members on matters related to their Club membership, and developing and marketing unique niche membership opportunities. The Golf Membership Director will lead sales and marketing campaigns promoting services, facilities and benefits of our Private Golf Club membership. The Golf Membership Director is responsible for the growth and retention of the Club’s membership. A key component of this position is the ability to effectively network, sell and represent the Club in target markets.
All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures.
Job Duties
A proven track record of sales performance including the development of a prospect strategy.
The ability to develop sales plans, generate leads and execute sales calls to stimulate prospect traffic.
Excellent written, interpersonal, verbal communication skills and outstanding networking abilities.
A self-starter who thrives on interactions, building relationships and producing results in a quota-driven sales environment.
Familiarity of the hospitality/club industry and golf is preferred.
Recommend membership products and programs that promote ongoing new membership enrollment and maximize member value and retention.
Create, review and maintain ongoing competitive market analysis and recommend market positioning strategies to ensure optimal market share and brand positioning.
Maintain the database of information pertaining to former, existing, new and prospective members, and process all applications for membership.
Prepare and analyze timely sales, forecasting, activity and trend reports.
A polished, professional image with an outgoing personality.
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
Conduct an orientation program for new members to ensure membership retention.
Able to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours, as needed.
Demonstrate proficiency and experience in Microsoft Office applications.
Manage Club communications including member e-newsletters, Club Facebook page, Club website, member handbook, member roster and general correspondence as required.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment when evaluating new programs, new services and new ideas
Stay abreast of property goals in order to create, support and present departmental goals to executive leadership
Continue to learn and be on the forefront of new technology for the hotel industry
Create ways to further enrich the guest experience by continuously reviewing, implementing and refining procedures to ensure every opportunity to offer extraordinary guest experiences while maintaining a culture of smiles, retention of luxury standards
Proactively seek guest feedback and liaise with other departments when opportunities present themselves ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience
Manage guest requests and own all complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction
Develop collaborative relationships and synergy with all support departments such as Convention Sales & Services, Facilities, Security, Front Services, Front Office, F&B, Golf Course and Executive Offices
Foster a management team that possesses and delivers on key strategies of guest service, employee relations, team cooperation, financial responsibility and asset management
Ensure all accounting, payroll and employee relations matters are handled in compliance with company policy
Perform other functions as needed
Qualifications Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resort performs criminal background checks on all candidates.
