It is home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), one of the most advanced medical simulation training centers in the world.
Advanced Practitioner Role Scope
Provides holistic, quality and cost‑effective care for women, and participates in the medical management of patients to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease and reduce risk of illness. Engages in independent decision‑making regarding the health care of women across the lifespan and across the health care continuum. Practices within a health care system that allows medical consultation, collaborative management and referral health care of women, i.e. obstetrics (antepartum, triage, labor, delivery and postpartum), and family planning. Reports to OB Hospitalist Medical Director.
Schedule:
13‑hour day and night shifts available.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse‑Midwifery Program Master’s program preferred
Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC, or Certification by the American College of Nurse‑Midwives (ACNM)
Labor and delivery experience required
Specific experience in women’s health specialty strongly preferred
