Job Summary
The
Lead Employee Relations Business Partner
provides advanced HR/Employee Relations support for employees and leaders in designated pavilions. Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders on Employee Relations related issues including performance management, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, employee grievances, DE&I, EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, & ADAAA. Provides interpretation of Harris Health related policies, conducts investigations, training, and provides advice on complex/escalated HR issues and concerns. Assists in carrying out both pavilion-level and system-wide HR strategies and plans that are aligned with the Mission, Vision and Values of Harris Health System. Frequently interacts and coordinates HR activity the pavilions with key HR functions including the Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Human Resource Information System (HRIS), and Learning and Talent Management. Participates on ad-hoc committees related to HR Strategy. Tracks and generates reporting around various Employee Relations functions. Partners with corporate compliance on allegations requiring an HR investigation. Collaborates with other HR Functions on strategic initiatives. Formulates relationships across the HR functions to deliver value-added service to the business unit they support. Liaison with Union representatives concerning employee corrective actions when appropriate. Takes the lead on highly confidential and complex employee relations investigations. Serves as a mentor/coach for less experienced HR staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Master's Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
HR related certification required (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other certification in an HR specialty such as CCP, CBP, etc.)
Work Experience
7 Years of Experience: In-depth working knowledge and experience of human resource disciplines including any combination of Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Effectiveness & Development, Workforce Leaders, and Business & HR strategy. Must demonstrate knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA). Prior experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.

Management Experience
Two years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
