Our VP of Accounting and Finance role will oversee accounting, financial reporting, inventory management, and multi-channel revenue operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive profitable growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance leader with deep CPG, dietary supplements, or beverage industry experience and a proven ability to scale systems and processes in a high-growth environment.

We’re focused on finding the best possible fit for this role with the requirements below. While our preference is for someone based in Boise, ID, we’re also open to candidates located in Salt Lake City, UT, as this role requires regular travel to our Boise headquarters to collaborate closely with the leadership team. Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy Lead all accounting and financial reporting functions to ensure timely, accurate financial information Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making across retail, DTC, and Amazon channels Develop and implement financial policies and procedures appropriate for our scale Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners Industry-Specific Accounting Operations Drive the month-end close process optimization, targeting 7-8 day close Manage complex inventory accounting, including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and expiration dating Oversee multi-channel revenue recognition (wholesale, DSD, direct to retailer, direct-to-consumer, Amazon FBA/FBM, subscriptions) Maintain COGS accuracy across contract manufacturing, co-packing, and fulfillment operations Handle promotional accounting, including trade spend, chargebacks, MCBs, and retailer deductions Manage sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and channels Inventory & Supply Chain Finance Implement robust inventory tracking and costing methodologies Oversee reserve calculations for expiring/slow-moving inventory Manage vendor financing and payment terms optimization Coordinate with operations on inventory planning and cash flow management Track and analyze landed costs, including freight, duties, and warehousing Establish profitability reporting by channel, customer, and SKU Manage Amazon and other channel accounting complexities (FBA fees, reimbursements, advertising) Oversee subscription revenue recognition and customer lifetime value tracking Handle EDI billing and reconciliation with major retailers Track and analyze promotional effectiveness and trade ROI Compliance & Risk Management Ensure FDA, FTC, and industry-specific regulatory compliance as it relates to financial reporting Manage multi-state sales tax obligations, including economic nexus Oversee international compliance for cross-border sales Maintain documentation for R&D tax credits on product development Coordinate with quality assurance on recall reserves, product liability, and insurance needs Required Qualifications

Experience 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Minimum 3 years in CPG, supplements, nutrition, or food & beverage industries Demonstrated experience scaling accounting functions in companies $50MM-$200MM revenue Track record with multi-channel distribution (retail, DTC, marketplace) Experience with inventory-intensive businesses and complex COGS calculations Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially inventory and revenue recognition Proficiency with mid-market ERP systems (NetSuite/Acumatica preferred) Experience with inventory management systems and WMS integration Understanding of EDI systems and retail compliance requirements Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, TikTok, Amazon) Industry Knowledge Understanding of supplement industry regulations and compliance Experience with contract manufacturing relationships Knowledge of retail distribution, including DSD and broadline distributors Familiarity with online payment process - TikTok, Amazon FBA/marketplace accounting Understanding of trade promotion and retail deduction management Preferred Qualifications

CPA certification strongly preferred Experience with natural products or wellness brands Track record with institutional investors or PE-backed CPG companies Experience with retail expansion (Walmart, Target, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe) Knowledge of international expansion and cross-border commerce Background in companies experiencing rapid retail door expansion Experience with financial cash management, forecasting, and reporting Willing to travel to HQ on a monthly or quarterly basis, open to relocation Ideal Candidate Profile

The total compensation package may include performance bonuses, benefits, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
