## Horticulture ManagerWaimea, Kauai, Hawaii, United StatesJob LocationWaimea, Kauai, Hawaii, United States**$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS!**\*\*\*\*Please note: there is no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance provided for this role. **What You'll Do:*** Manage the day-to-day activities in the Trait Integration shadehouse operation with a focus on seedlings. This includes organizing and supervising plantings, collecting data, coordinating with the sampling team, and selecting top-progeny.* Supervise full-time employees and contingent workers, ensuring work is performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with protocols and regulations.* Work collaboratively with other managers to meet the quality, quantity, and timeline targets.* Promote positive work attitudes and harmonious relations.* Willing and able to work flexible schedules and weekends during peak periods when required* Support all Hawaii Research center-wide goals and support other projects when needed **What Skills You Need:*** Bachelor’s degree or Certificate in biology, botany, plant breeding, agriculture, or related plant science field with two to four years related experience.* Minimum of four years related experience* Alternatively, equivalent levels of relevant education and experience* Ability to manage people as part of a larger, culturally diverse group* Plant biology, agronomy or horticulture* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Understand and be able to apply Mendelian genetics* Organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities* Ability to bend, reach, and lift repetitively. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.
