* Active member of the Oregon State Bar in good standing on the effective date of appointment.* Five or more years practicing law as an attorney.* Demonstrated knowledge of criminal and evidence codes.* Demonstrated ability to work well with people from a variety of disciplines (e.g., state agency personnel, law enforcement officers, county prosecutors, etc.).* Excellent organization, analytical, oral presentation and advocacy, and writing skills.* Experience training prosecutors and/or law enforcement* Willing and able to travel throughout the state and nation, sometimes overnight, in order to meet case, training, and outreach needs.* Strong work ethic and commitment to public service.* Able to successfully clear a comprehensive criminal background investigation and reference checks. *Finalists will be subject to a thorough criminal background investigation, as well as thorough employment reference checks. Adverse background data may be grounds for immediate disqualification.** Experience prosecuting cases with high public interest* Heightened interest in DUII prosecution* Experience prosecuting alcohol and drug-related DUII cases* Experience prosecuting DUII homicides* Attach your resume.* Attach your cover letter.* Attach a writing sample (not to exceed seven pages) suitable for assessing analytical and writing ability. *A writing sample is not needed from attorneys currently working at the Oregon Department of Justice at the time of application.
