is seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Engineer to design, manage, and maintain the company’s core infrastructure. This role oversees network, voice, security, Windows-based servers, SAN, and cloud systems, ensuring stability, performance, and security. Responsibilities include system upgrades, patches, performance tuning, and security administration. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, DNS, DHCP, IIS, clustering/load balancing, and SD-WAN routers, switches, and voice systems. We Offer: Paid Time Off (PTO) & Paid Holidays 401(k) w/company match Medical/Dental/Vision & Employer-Paid Life/Employer-Paid Short Term Disability Opportunity to develop and advance within the company Training program: Dedicated to ensuring all employees receive the training they deserve Duties and Responsibilities: Network & Infrastructure Design: -Design and implement LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud networking. -Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance. -Maintain DNS/DHCP and optimize networks with SD-WAN and load balancing. -Collaborate with vendors to execute designs. Advanced System Design & Architecture: -Lead design, architecture, and management of IT systems including Cisco networking, -Microsoft Entra ID, RingCentral, storage, and security. -Create and maintain system architecture documentation. -Evaluate and recommend technologies aligned with company goals. Cloud Services & Virtualization: -Develop hybrid and multi-cloud solutions. -Manage virtualization platforms like VMware. -Optimize for cost, performance, and security. -Integrate on-prem and cloud systems. Data Management & Storage Architecture: -Design secure SAN/NAS/cloud storage solutions. -Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies. -Maintain data integrity and availability. Security & Compliance: -Embed security best practices in all designs. -Ensure compliance with SSO, MFA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS. -Implement encryption, access control, and perform security reviews. Collaboration & Leadership: -Mentor IT staff and lead technical initiatives. -Align infrastructure with business needs. -Manage vendor partnerships. Continuous Improvement: -Stay current on emerging technologies. -Enhance existing systems and processes. -Support strategic IT and business initiatives. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant IT systems experience. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 2+ years of experience with point-of-sale or retail systems. Strong Microsoft desktop and server background; certifications a plus. Proficiency in Group Policy and DNS design/configuration. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Skills and Abilities: Networking certifications or equivalent training preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking. Up-to-date knowledge of current technologies. Experience with portable handheld devices is a plus. Customer-focused with strong technical problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively manage vendor and consulting partnerships. Working conditions: This position will be in our Fort Mill, SC office. The position will be in-office, 5 days a week. Most of the work will be performed at a desk in an office environment. There may be occasional visits to company or customer maintenance facilities that are industrial environments. Why Join Us?
