Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in our skilled nursing facilites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all dietary needs of residents are met through effective management of meal planning, food preparation, and staff supervision. This role requires a strong background in dietetics and health coaching, along with exceptional leadership skills to foster a collaborative environment. This position requires a Certified Dietary Manager Certification (CDM)
Duties
Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the dietary needs of residents.
Supervise dietary staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and quality standards.
Conduct patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and health.
Plan menus that accommodate various dietary requirements while promoting overall health and wellness.
Provide health coaching to residents, educating them on nutrition and healthy eating habits.
Maintain accurate records of food service operations, including inventory management and compliance documentation.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the dietary department in accordance with health regulations.
Monitor the budgets and menu's to ensure that we are utilizing our resources in an efficient manner.
Train all new cooks and or dietary aids.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a dietary department or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of dietetics, nutrition principles, and food service management.
Experience working in assisted living or healthcare environments is preferred.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
Familiarity with care plans and patient assessment methodologies is essential.
