The Data Analyst supports stakeholder data analysis and reporting functions within the organization. This role involves conducting detailed data reviews, managing dashboard reporting processes, performing forecasting and risk analysis, and providing actionable insights to aid in business decision-making. The analyst will assist in month-end close activities, process improvements, and development of analytical tools, while ensuring data accuracy and consistency across business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze historical data and trends, comparing results with prior years, and assisting management during the month-end close process.
  • Monitor and reconcile risk mitigation activities and prepare related reports.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of customer dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Perform executive-level dashboard reconciliation and reporting for key business areas.
  • Coordinate annual benchmarking data collection from internal systems and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for internal and external reporting functions.
  • Manage data requests, historical information, and ad-hoc reporting needs.
  • Support the development of systems, reporting dashboards, and analytics projects.
  • Prepare customer-related analyses and financial models, including valuation, segment, and trend analysis.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and reporting for business decision support.
  • Assist with customer reporting, data mapping, and systems integration.
  • Provide training and support to internal and external customers on data tools and reporting processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial and business environments and the ability to interpret data to recommend actions.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data reconciliation, and report preparation.
  • Ability to identify trends and deliver meaningful insights.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with SAP, PowerPoint, Visio, Access/Oracle Database, ARM, GIS, and BI Reporting tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or Alteryx.
  • Programming proficiency in SQL, VBA, Python, R, or SAS.
  • Experience handling large data sets and generating business insights.
  • Proven experience as a data analyst or in a related analytical role.
Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
