We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Scheduler to join our team in Boardman, Ohio. Responsibilities:
• Answer and manage incoming calls with professionalism, directing inquiries and forwarding calls to the appropriate departments.
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently, verify insurance information, and provide accurate responses to questions about medical services.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient communications and interactions within the clinic’s database systems.
• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and supporting medical coding and insurance processes.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and medical staff to ensure smooth coordination and communication for patient care.
• Handle patient records in compliance with confidentiality standards and healthcare regulations.
• Facilitate patient check-ins and ensure all necessary documentation is completed before appointments.
• Assist with basic front-office responsibilities, contributing to a welcoming and organized environment for patients.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and resolving scheduling conflicts.
• Stay updated on clinic procedures and policies to ensure accuracy in administrative tasks.• Previous experience as a receptionist, scheduler, or in a similar administrative role, preferably within a medical office.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and clinic operations is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on providing empathetic and customer-focused service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, and familiarity with medical office management software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced medical environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality with sensitive patient information.
• Knowledge of patient scheduling and front-office operations in a healthcare setting.
