Your Role at Baxter This is where your work saves lives.
The Novum Pump (NPP) Platform is Baxter\'s state-of-the-art infusion platform designed to deliver life saving and life sustaining medication to our patients. Whether it is saving the life of a trauma patient or helping a family welcome new life into the world, our pumps must meet the highest safety standards.
What you\'ll be doing Develop software in C/C++ and Python for embedded devices.
Write design specifications.
Write test procedures.
Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings.
Attend and participate in technical reviews of NPP project.
Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct smaller approved projects.
Provide suggestions on improvements based on recent technical knowledge.
Able to contribute to cost estimating of major capital budget items and the spending of approved project funds.
Contribute to the planning and execution of components of the development process for product revision or enhancement or a defined piece of a larger project.
Manage routine small projects without assistance.
Investigate and analyze customer service problems and design improvement suggestions.
What you\'ll bring Bachelor of Engineering in software, Computer or Electrical Engineering or related with 1+ years of experience or Masters with 1+.
Familiarity with C/C++.
Familiarity with Linux is a plus.
Familiarity with Python, MATLAB or other object-oriented programming languages.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative.
Training in Six Sigma quality techniques.
Baxter is committed to flexibility in the workplace through our flexible workplace policy, which includes a required minimum number of days onsite. The policy supports in-person collaboration and is subject to local laws and requirements.
We understand compensation is an important factor. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 - $99,000 annually. The range reflects anticipated salary and may be adjusted based on market data, location, skills, experience, and other factors.
