Your Role at Baxter The Novum Pump Platform (NPP) is Baxter’s state-of-the-art infusion platform designed to deliver life-saving and life-sustaining medication to patients. Pumps must meet the highest safety standards to support patients in critical care, trauma, and perinatal settings. Responsibilities Develop software in C/C++ and Python for embedded devices. Write design specifications. Write test procedures. Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings. Attend and participate in technical reviews of the NPP project. Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct smaller approved projects. Provide suggestions on improvements based on recent technical knowledge. Able to contribute to cost estimating of major capital budget items and the spending of approved project funds. Contribute to the planning and execution of components of the development process related to product revision or enhancement or a defined piece of a larger project. Manage routine small projects without assistance. Investigate and analyze customer service problems and design improvement suggestions; recommend design improvements. What you'll bring Bachelor of Engineering degree in software, Computer or Electrical Engineering or related field with 1+ years of experience, or Masters with 1+ year. Familiarity with C/C++ Familiarity with Linux is a plus Familiarity with Python, MATLAB or other object-oriented programming languages Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative Training in concepts of “Six Sigma” quality techniques Compensation and Benefits We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 - $99,000 annually. The estimated range reflects anticipated salary range for the position and may be adjusted based on location, market data, skills, experience, and other factors.
