Job Title: Sports Medicine Physician / Shoulder Replacement Surgeon

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona

Schedule: Full-Time

Practice Setting: Outpatient orthopedic clinic with an affiliated surgical center

Call: Shared call rotation among the group

Travel: None required


Position Summary

We are seeking a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine with an emphasis on shoulder arthroplasty to join a physician-led orthopedic group in Scottsdale, AZ. This surgical position offers a high-volume, focused practice supported by skilled physician assistants, in-house imaging, and a dedicated surgical team. Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $250,000 $350,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Bonus: Collections-based incentive program
  • Relocation and Sign-On Bonuses: Available and negotiable

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat shoulder conditions, including sports injuries, trauma, and degenerative diseases
  • Perform shoulder arthroscopy and total shoulder arthroplasty (anatomic and reverse)
  • Manage preoperative and postoperative care to ensure seamless patient recovery
  • Collaborate closely with onsite physical therapy to optimize rehabilitation
  • Optionally provide sports knee care depending on interest and referrals
  • Conduct in-office procedures such as ultrasound-guided injections
  • Maintain thorough documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives


Candidate Requirements

  • Fellowship training in Sports Medicine or Shoulder & Elbow Surgery
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS)
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Arizona (MD or DO)
  • Skilled in shoulder reconstruction and joint replacement procedures
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
