Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director Position in Athens, OH
Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists
- Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists
- Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage with a round and go model, taking calls from home
- Perform circumcisions as part of the Pediatric Hospitalist role
- Offer expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department, providing timely assessments and treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists
- Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects
- Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers
- Not accepting Locums candidates
- Not accepting visa candidates
- Not open to commuters or secondary employment seekers
- Not accepting new graduate candidates - experience required
- Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
- Ohio license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Previous employment experience in leadership roles - PREFERRED
- Current Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Active Ohio Medical License (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA License (must be obtained before starting)
