Program Analyst
to support our DoS client located in Washington, DC. This position is in the Office of Foreign Assistance, which is responsible for determining the optimal allocation of foreign assistance funds among various programs administered by the Department of State (DOS) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to achieve foreign policy objectives. The office develops long-term (five-year) strategic plans and short-term (annual) operational plans, reviews progress indicators, and exercises authority over all DOS and USAID foreign assistance funding and programs, coordinating closely with delegated programs. The
Program Analyst
serves as an action officer for the Managing Directors and their teams, providing expertise on cross-cutting issues impacting the department's foreign assistance programs. Responsibilities
Manage correspondence and documents for senior managers' signatures or clearance. Coordinate schedules, meetings, and prepare for internal and external engagements. Develop responses to organizational issues, ensuring accuracy and policy alignment. Coordinate travel arrangements and administrative support for the team. Participate in ad hoc teams, committees, and task forces as an advisor. Draft reports, position papers, and integrate findings into comprehensive study reports. Assess initiatives for their impact on F policies and operations, and coordinate participation. Monitor progress of initiative-tasks, identify problems, and recommend solutions. Maintain collaborative relationships within F, the Department, USAID, and other organizations. Ensure trackers are up-to-date and accurate, utilizing advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience; high school diploma with 5 years of professional office experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and email applications. Experience with database applications and presentation software is desirable. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines. Active Secret clearance.
