To assure the effective and efficient operation of the school office.

Description: 1.

Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments, and directs them to the appropriate person. 2.

Receives and places telephone calls and records messages. 3.

Maintains attendance records of all personnel including substitute teachers. 4.

Prepares correspondence and memoranda. 5.

Completes purchase order requisitions, processes shipments received and forwards packing slips to the business office. 6.

Maintains telephone system. 7.

Maintains student records and requests records of transferred students. 8.

Processes all student activity fund transactions in accordance with proper bookkeeping procedures. 9.

Collects, processes, and maintains records of funds received and forwards monies to the business office for book fees, petty cash and other miscellaneous fees. 10. Provides routine care of office equipment. 11. Processes payroll and personnel information. 12. Maintains a log of visitors to the school. 13. Processes new textbook orders. 14. Maintains inventories as shall be required. 15. Assists with the scheduling of parent/teacher conferences. 16. Assists in the scheduling of special education staffings. 17. Administers first aid to sick or injured children. 18. Performs the duties of the secretary/registrar and secretary health-aide when they are not present. 19. Process free and reduced lunch forms. 20. Will assistwith the processing of incoming and outgoing student records according to State law. 21. Works together with the Health Aide to register all incoming students. 22. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications: High School diploma, proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and the internet.

Salary Range: $19.95 - $21.80 per hour dependent upon experience

Working Conditions: 10-month position, 7.5 hours per day. K-6 building. Insurance benefits and paid holidays.
