Director, Financial Planning and Analysis The Director of FP&A will lead the company’s financial planning and analysis efforts, with a focus on performance improvement, actionable insights, and scalable reporting infrastructure. This role will drive the development of robust processes, analytical tools, and KPIs to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will quickly gain a deep understanding of the business and key performance drivers, building trust with stakeholders across the platform. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment Work environment : Hybrid, with onsite work 2-3 days a week. Position Responsibilities Lead the development of a scalable financial planning function focused on delivering high-quality reporting, actionable data insights, and continuous improvement of financial tools and workflows. Creating and managing dashboards and forecasts that capture critical financial, pricing, sales, and operational metrics. Partnering with functional leaders across the organization to develop and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast. Supporting the preparation of detailed, bottom-up budgets and forecasts that underpin both short-term and long-term strategic planning. Collaborating closely with business and functional leaders to educate and assist them in formulating their strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts. Providing market, customer, and supplier data and trend analysis to deepen understanding of business drivers and dynamics. Support the company’s financial analysis efforts with a focus on driving performance improvement and delivering timely, relevant external market insights by: Analyzing cash flow, cost management, and expenses, and working with business leaders to identify and implement enhancements. Conducting economic and industry analyses to detect trends and recommend strategic responses. Monitoring company performance against external benchmarks and internal KPIs. Investigating variances in financial and operational results and partnering with business leaders to address issues and implement corrective measures. Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Strong business acumen, preferably with experience in distribution-focused businesses and/or private equity environments. Expertise in process mapping aimed at simplification and operational efficiency. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability balanced by practical business judgment. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, meet deadlines, and work with a strong sense of urgency. Effective time management and organizational skills. Adaptable and resilient in the face of change and complexity. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Trusted advisor with experience engaging senior management and board members. Education & Experience Requirements 8 to 10+ years of relevant Finance and FP&A experience. Demonstrated success in reporting and financial analysis, ideally within a fast-growing private equity-backed organization, including experience with acquisitions and divestitures; international experience is a plus. Proven ability to build scalable financial planning, analysis, and reporting models and processes to support organizational growth. Skilled at synthesizing complex financial, operational, and KPI data into clear presentations and decision-making frameworks. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, databases, and reporting/analytics tools such as Power BI. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Industrial Engineering. Seniority level
