Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

to lead key financial functions including forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow planning, and capital structure analysis. This role is critical in providing strategic insight, supporting business growth initiatives (including M&A and greenfield expansions), and ensuring accurate and timely financial communication to internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Monthly Financial Reviews Lead the review process of first, second, and third drafts of monthly financial statements. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reporting. Prepare and manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages. Coordinate and execute necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting standards. Cash Forecasting Maintain and update a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast. Ensure all historical and current week data are reconciled against actuals. Forecasting & Performance Projections Own and update a comprehensive monthly forecast model projecting full-year performance. Identify liquidity requirements to support strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions. Backlog and Sales Funnel Ownership Track and manage the value of trades currently on the production schedule. Monitor and supplement the value of prospects and leads. Generate a reliable sales forecast based on funnel analysis. Daily Sales Reporting Provide accurate and real-time reporting on current month sales performance versus budget. Forecast end-of-month results and sales outlook for future months. Lender Reporting & Presentations Prepare and deliver monthly lender reporting packages. Develop and update lender-facing presentation decks, including for upsizing requests. Capital Structure and Planning Analyze company capital needs to support expansion initiatives and ensure adequate liquidity. Evaluate the optimal mix of debt and equity to support financial strategy and growth. Greenfield and M&A Expansion Support Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess new M&A opportunities, including structuring and valuation. Evaluate greenfield market entry opportunities in partnership with operations and marketing teams. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred. 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or corporate finance. Strong Excel modeling skills and familiarity with forecasting tools. Experience with lender or investor reporting is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
