Regent University Major Function/Purpose Of The Position
The Brand Communications Manager at Regent University plays a vital role in advancing the university’s mission and is responsible for brand voice, positioning, value proposition, public relations, traditional and digital media messaging, copy development and editorial services. This position will provide strategy, direction, and coordination to team members and involves integrating measurement results from testing and analytics to create a result-driven approach to copy. This role will work collaboratively with creative team members and key departments across the University. The role will support and enhance the university's overall brand and enrollment revenue goals. Develop and implement content strategies that support branding, enrollment, and revenue goals across digital, print, and multimedia platforms. Create clear, engaging, and brand-aligned copy for web pages, email campaigns, brochures, ads, video scripts, direct mail, and more. Ensure all communications reflect Regent University’s Christ-centered mission, values, and voice and maintain the University’s Editorial Style Guide. Oversee content planning and execution, managing a team of copywriters and providing editorial direction and quality control. Apply expert knowledge of AP style and editorial best practices to maintain consistency, clarity, and excellence across all materials. Leverage data and analytics to evaluate content performance, optimize strategy, and improve engagement and conversion. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine messaging and align content with institutional goals. Monitor trends in higher education marketing and emerging technologies to enhance content effectiveness and scalability. Manage multiple projects and deadlines with professionalism and attention to detail. Oversee the execution of press releases. Handle on-campus media relations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
7+ years of professional copywriting experience A bachelor’s degree in a related field Expert-level writing, editing and proofreading skills Mastery of AP Style Experience writing for digital marketing platforms Experience developing and implementing communication strategies (required). Familiarity with inbound marketing tactics and lead generation Results oriented with the ability to organize and independently manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective time-management and prioritization skills estimating appropriate time for tasks and deliverables to consistently meet deadlines. Organizational skills, professionalism, and a creative team player mentality Portfolio and/or samples demonstrating a range of voice, tone, and messaging strategies across different platforms and industries required Commitment to Regent's core values of Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity
