RGA Enterprise Services Company (RGA) seeks a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to independently design, develop, test, implement, document, and support data warehouses, including ETL, database, and scheduling technologies and processes. The position reports to RGA headquarters in Chesterfield, MO; 100% telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. This position will apply a general understanding of the data warehouse source and target systems and leverage a general knowledge of business intelligence and big data technologies and processes to execute responsibilities. Key responsibilities include the following: create and support the ETL process to extract the data from source systems and place it into the data warehouse; perform data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation; design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining; work with business and IT stakeholders to optimize reporting information by defining business requirements and populating the data warehouse table structure; create data warehouse schematics and layouts; assist with developing capacity planning; recommend improvements and apply standards, processes, and procedures for data warehousing systems; seek continuous data warehouse performance improvement and ensure security of data; create and implement effective metrics and monitoring processes; lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; and act as a resource and impact the quality of work for colleagues with less experience. RGAs compensation package includes an annual bonus plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits. The compensation range noted below indicates that the base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. For this particular position, the offered salary is $119,815.20 and is non-negotiable. Basic Qualifications: The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, plus at least four (4) years of experience as a Senior Data Warehouse Developer or in a similar role in a Data Warehouse capacity. A qualified applicant's experience must include: 4 years of experience applying Vertica, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or Snowflake to develop analytical database solutions; 4 years of experience applying Informatica PC & DVO, dbt, Talend, and/or SQL Server Integration Services to develop ETL/ELT flows for analytical data solutions; scheduling experience applying Tidal Enterprise Scheduler or equivalent scheduler in developing data flows for analytical database solutions; 1 year of experience applying Erwin Data Modeler (or equivalent) to develop analytical data solutions; 2 years of dimensional modeling experience to develop staging, load, fact, and dimension artifacts; experience with Data Analysis including manually inspecting, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data to discover useful information, draw conclusions, and support decision-making; and experience solving complex problems and communicating and presenting information to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Compensation Range: Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
