Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate the import/export of goods and suggest the most cost-effective means of delivery if appropriate Ship materials using the ERP system, UPS, FEDEX, and other carrier portals and process shipping documents according to established policies and procedures Resolve issues when needed, and work with Customer Service and/or Accounting to troubleshoot Create bills of lading, packing slips, and Customs documentation for outgoing materials using our ERP System, UPS, FEDEX, and other carrier portals Implement improvements in the process to streamline Verify the information on the shipping documents matches the information in the ERP System Operate forklift, pallet jacks or hand trucks to prepare and stage materials for shipping Maintain an accurate inventory of materials in the stock shipping area Label products with part number, description, quantity per container, and order number Receive and visually inspect packages for damage and sign for deliveries from vendor Interfaces with internal customers including, purchasing, accounting, quality, manufacturing, sales, and program management to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner Interface with external customers to obtain shipping methods and work within customer portals Resolve discrepancies related to incoming and outgoing of products Provide crates and necessary pallets to packaging on large orders Performs other activities as requested to meet departmental goals Comply with all OSHA and company safety rules Qualifications/

Skills:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: 3+ years of experience in shipping/manufacturing Intermediate Microsoft office skills/ability to learn excel Ability to learn/use freight carrier portals Ability to use small power tools Forklift experience a plus Export Documentation experience a plus Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Regularly required to sit, stand, and move around the building Occasionally required to lift weight up to 50 lbs Benefits:
