Peak Power & Compression is hiring for the position of Mechanical Assembler.

The Mechanical Assembler will be required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical assembly and testing of industrial engine parts while following all safety protocols and established workplace policies.

Peak Power & Compression is a small engineering and manufacturing concern located in Longmont, Colorado.

Our Longmont facility includes state of the art CNC machining, robotic welding, Robotic and vision load-unload systems, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Process engineering design, Casting design, Component design and modeling.

We manufacture our own line of industrial parts and assemblies for the natural gas compression industry.

Job Description & Duties

Full Time-Permanent

Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Ability to assemble small to medium size mechanical and or electronic assemblies using hand tools.

Ability to position and install parts, sub-assemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids mechanical tools using a reasonable amount of dexterity.

Ability to follow instructions and use specialized test equipment.

Attention to detail and maintaining a clean and organized work site is a must.

Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.

Load, unload, and identify mechanical manufacturing materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly, or as a machine operator.

Familiarity and ability to use hand tools and perform assembly work unassisted.

Effective verbal and listening communications skills.

Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

Commitment to quality and safety.

Work Schedule Monday Thru Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.

Additional experience a plus:

Aptitude or experience in the following areas will be considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Mechanical, hydraulic, and or electrical work experience.

Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.

Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.

Pay:

This position is hourly and ranges between $17-$25 per hour depending on experience.
