Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Sr. LVN will provide direct patient care for diverse patient populations within Hematology/Oncology Community Clinics, working with faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nursing staff, patient services staff, and ancillary personnel. Job Qualifications
Required
: BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. CA LVN License with IV therapy and blood withdrawal skills. Knowledge of instruments and supplies for physical examinations and procedures. Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills as needed. Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician. Knowledge of symptoms of common and life-threatening medical problems. Excellent interpersonal skills for a cooperative working environment. CPR certification. Keyboard literacy skills for data entry in computerized systems. License issued by the CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with IV therapy and blood withdrawal capabilities. Competency in IV skills. Demonstrated punctuality and good attendance. Ability to push, pull, or carry at least 30 pounds. Ability to produce quality work in a timely manner.
