Job Overview: Associate Manager, Category Analysis – Convenience Retail Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is seeking a highly motivated, analytically minded professional to join its Convenience Category Management team. This role offers high exposure to KDP leadership. The Associate Category Manager will play a strategic role in building strong partnerships with Convenience Retailers by providing category guidance to drive market-leading growth for the Keurig Dr Pepper portfolio, including beverages and snacking categories. The individual will conduct high-quality analysis, synthesize data from multiple sources to generate insights and actionable recommendations, and leverage effective communication and influencing skills to implement strategies within the operational realities of the convenience retail environment. What you will do: Develop and nurture business relationships with key retailer contacts to establish KDP as an indispensable partner for category management needs. Deliver integrated consumer, shopper, category, and marketplace insights and trends to guide strategic decisions and tactical executions for short- and long-term growth. Conduct robust analysis using research, category management capabilities, analytical tools, and data visualization to identify and communicate business opportunities or challenges. Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and customers to connect business opportunities and develop strategic and tactical solutions. Plan and execute planogram and assortment reviews with key convenience account merchant teams. Provide category management reporting, trend analysis, customized reports, and support for special projects to key convenience account merchant teams. Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate issues and opportunities, translating insights into retail actions. Serve as a category expert to cross-functional team members. Annual performance-based bonus. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), with a focus on category management, business analytics, and/or shopper insights. Experience interacting with buyers and internal cross-functional partners; experience with the Convenience Channel is preferred. Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to leverage facts and insights to build compelling stories and actionable recommendations. Strong drive for results and ability to build collaborative partnerships with customers and internal teams. Capability to develop and influence strategies at both retail and manufacturer levels. Extensive knowledge of syndicated data sources such as 1010, RI, Nielsen, Numerator, and retailer POS data. Advanced proficiency in JDA Space Planning software. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
