Key Responsibilities

Monitor and assess daily cash flow; support short- and long-term cash forecasting and provide insights into overall financial position. Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data reporting.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring compliance with deadlines and financial accuracy. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and compile consolidated financial reports in accordance with IFRS and GAAP for submission to the parent company.
Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, including supervision, training, and performance support.
Support the development of annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts. Prepare relevant tax schedules and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with external and internal auditors, ensuring timely access to requested records and materials.
Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
Ensure adherence to company ethical standards and core business values.
Handle special projects, reports, and analysis as needed.
Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in accounting is required for this role.
Background in construction accounting, including experience with Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting.
Solid understanding of both GAAP and IFRS standards, particularly in areas such as revenue recognition and lease accounting.
Prior experience leading and managing a small accounting team.
CPA and/or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure timely follow-ups.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel at an intermediate level or higher.
Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems such as JDE, Sage, Timberline, or other industry-specific platforms is a plus.
Self-driven, professional, detail-focused, and an effective communicator with a positive and collaborative attitude.
