Position Overview
The Accounting Clerk is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement within the company. This role is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and accounting support tasks to ensure efficient daily office operations and accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Greet and direct visitors entering the office.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Process check disbursements and assist with waiver signing.
- Perform data entry for Accounts Payable and related functions.
- Scan and upload invoice documentation into Mark Systems.
- Process weekly payroll for field employees.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and vendors.
- Audit and process company credit card bills.
- Manage and pay utility bills for construction properties.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
- Prepare and file sales tax rebate documentation.
- Review and print medical insurance invoices.
- Send out EFT remittances and lien waivers as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or Associate’s degree (2-year) required.
- Experience: Entry-level; prior accounting or administrative experience preferred.
