Endurant Disaster Recovery is hiring a full-time Accounting Manager to lead the finance and accounting for the McCabe Restoration Business Unit, a key growing division focused on large-scale commercial and residential restoration projects. This role reports to the CFO and, indirectly, to the SVP of Operations for the McCabe Business Unit. The successful candidate will be a true business partner to both finance and operations, delivering data-driven analysis to inform decision-making, optimize profitability, and accelerate business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership & Strategy:
    • Support the CFO in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for the business unit, with detailed variance analysis and actionable insights.
    • Partner with the McCabe SVP of Ops and CFO to implement strategic financial plans aligned with long-term growth objectives.
    • Review monthly and annual financial variances with the SVP of Ops and CFO after close to articulate performance and direction of the McCabe unit.
    • Manage all financial systems, internal controls, and processes to ensure data integrity and GAAP compliance per company policies.
  • Project Accounting & Operations Management:
    • Oversee accounts payable, including receiving, coding, and paying vendors and subcontractors.
    • Provide leadership on percentage-of-completion accounting to ensure costs are tracked to jobs and revenue is recognized appropriately.
    • Partner with Operations to analyze KPIs (job margin, labor utilization, material costs) to identify efficiency opportunities and cost savings.
    • Assist CFO and SVP of Integration in implementing portfolio controls and in tracking project budgets, change orders, and profitability from initiation to closeout.
    • Provide financial oversight for all projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms and billing milestones.
    • Oversee AR activities and ensure timely collection of aged invoices in collaboration with the SVP of Ops.
  • Team Management & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the local McCabe finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
    • Manage daily finance team operations, including workflow, performance reviews, and resource allocation.
    • Serve as a key financial training and support resource for other department leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong background in project accounting, preferably within restoration, construction, or a related industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with both financial and operational leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
