This pivotal role calls for a strategic and hands-on leader who can champion their cloud security posture, safeguard multi-cloud environments, and drive a culture of security within their engineering and operations teams. If you're an accomplished cloud security professional ready to make a significant impact, we invite you to consider this extraordinary opportunity.
The Opportunity:
As the Cloud Security Group Leader, you'll be instrumental in defining and executing the cloud security strategy for a company at the forefront of innovation. This isn't just about managing technology; it's about leading people, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the robust protection of critical assets across diverse cloud platforms. You'll have the autonomy to shape security initiatives, implement cutting-edge solutions, and build a world-class cloud security function.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of cloud security engineers and analysts. You'll be responsible for their professional growth, performance management, and key resourcing decisions.
Advanced Cloud Security Platform Management: Oversee the strategic deployment, optimization, and continuous improvement of Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools, including industry leaders like Prisma Cloud, Wiz, and Aqua Security.
Proactive Vulnerability & Risk Management: Lead comprehensive vulnerability detection and remediation programs. You'll leverage advanced platforms such as CrowdStrike, Nessus, Qualys, Brinqa, Kenna, Vulcan, and Dazz to proactively identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks.
Custom Control Development & Enforcement: Design and implement tailored security controls and policies to address unique challenges, including misconfigurations, false positives, and specific limitations of commercial solutions.
Security Integration & Automation: Collaborate seamlessly with DevOps and infrastructure teams to embed robust security measures throughout CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes environments. Champion automation initiatives to enhance security operations efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Compliance & Enterprise Risk Alignment: Ensure stringent adherence to internal SLAs and evolving regulatory requirements for cloud security posture and incident response. Partner closely with enterprise risk and compliance teams to align cloud security initiatives with overarching business objectives, utilizing sophisticated platforms like Avalor and Brinqa for risk-based prioritization and reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Cloud Security Leadership: Cybersecurity, with dedicated cloud security leadership capacity, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
Cloud Domain Expertise: Proven experience in managing and securing complex cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Deep Technical Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with leading CNAPP/CSPM tools (e.g., Prisma, Wiz, Aqua) and a comprehensive understanding of vulnerability management platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Nessus, Qualys).
Cloud-Native Architecture Savvy: Strong command of Kubernetes security, cloud-native architectures, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Risk Data Platform Familiarity: Experience with security data platforms such as Brinqa, Kenna, Vulcan, Dazz, and Avalor is highly valued.
Exceptional People & Communication Skills: Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams. Superior communication skills are essential, with the ability to translate intricate technical risks into clear, actionable business impacts for executive stakeholders.
Preferred Attributes:
Industry-leading certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure/GCP Security Specialty.
In-depth knowledge of critical compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS).
This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic leader to define and elevate the cloud security landscape for a forward-thinking organization. If your experience and aspirations align with this challenging yet rewarding role, we encourage you to submit your confidential application.
